As HIPs are no longer required, the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is still a legal document that must be obtained for the sale or let of any property. This rule applies to both Commercial & Domestic buildings.

As you will be aware, there is now a duty on both the seller and a person acting on their behalf, to make reasonable efforts to secure an EPC for sales on domestic propeties within 28 days.
